After stepping down as CEO, he should sell the company (even if it means accepting a heavy loss), then delete his Twitter account, then hire an image consultant to try and repair the damage done to his personal brand. To see how far he has

Elon Musk has done a lot of nasty things after taking over Twitter. He has acted basically like a conquerer taking over an evil country, then publicizing all the evil things that have been happening in the country: publicly deriding enginee

User Interface that is easy to imagine as a physical object is easier to figure out. It doesn't matter if the user is familiar with the physical object being emulated on the screen. Because laws of physics are still applicable even if

The idea of using nuclear fusion as a source of energy dates back to the 1920s and 1930s, when Rutherford first began exploring the possibility. By the 1950s and 1960s significant progress was made in understanding the complex scientific pr

Because we are not there in terms of Physics! They generated 1.5x the energy input through laser, but 0.0067x the energy consumed from the wall plug. That means we need more Physics, not just engineering!

In the press conference they mentioned that modern lasers have "20% wall plug efficiency". That means fusion has to generate 5x more energy than this experiment did, for you to get more energy out than you put in.

In nuclear fusion, mass is converted into energy according to the famous equation E = mc^2, where E is energy, m is mass, and c is the speed of light.

When you consider that they laser they used consumed 300 megajoules from the wall plug, in order to send 1.8 megajoules to the target, the fact that they got 2.5 megajoules out looks puny in comparison. Even newer lasers only have 20% wall

This is what I captured from the press conference: 300 megajoules was used to generate the laser (this is also captured in [1]). They also mentioned that newer lasers have 20% wall plug efficiency. If so, they need to improve the energy out

Even a robot with a fake gun is better than no robot. If the shooter is distracted by the robot then the police have a better chance to take him out. In addition to fake gun the robot should have a camera too, so that police can see him.

All you need is something to grab the shooter's attention. If he is distracted by the robot then human officers have a better opportunity to take him down.

I assumed many developers would prefer Windows because you can now run real Linux inside Windows. If your server code is going to run on Linux it helps to also have Linux on your laptop.

You would have to split vertically then horizontally. If you only split horizontally each business will continue to monopolize their segments.

But each of those three businesses would be monopolies. Better to clone the company. Each clone inherits all IP then goes separate ways.
