The 1.4 Dashboard really impressed me. It moved the user experience from something mostly good for lightweight overview to something that can actually be used over running commands over kubectl. Kudos!

Really enjoyed this talk. Our services don't quite (yet :)) run at that scale, but many of the issues mentioned have already peaked at some point. It's also good to have (more) validation to some choices we have made in the past,

If you want a completely non-opaque way (or just see the steps in general) of installing Kubernetes, check out Kubernetes The Hard Way [1]. That said, `kubeadm` is a great addition! [1] https://github.com/kelseyhightower

Loved the section "Try to get something done every day". Productivity hacks do nothing to me. Reading Hacker News while working is nothing off my actual work as long as I get things done. And I do get things done, lots of work. No

Simplified substitutions alone are a much needed upgrade. Writing Fn::joins everywhere was not only error prone, but also time consuming and confusing.

Like some mentioned, Thimble uses Brackets in it's core. After some hiatus, Brackets has seen more commits to the past month than in the past year combined. There's tons of starter issues (and more advanced ones) that can be tackl

That article opened up first a modal prompt from "mega viral something something" and then redirected me to a page that urged to download some critical update to my iPhone. I love drive-by ads on usually somewhat trusted sites.

It's like people only do these things because they can get paid. And that's just really sad. I think it is just a writing device for tying the story to the real world and building character. Bloomberg does that quite often, "
