Is it just me or does a week seem like a long time to do this? I mean obviously it's not really a business just a little web service, but really, any competent programmer could probably have the functionality up and running over a weekend -

You can try HTMLDOC ( http://htmldoc.rubyforge.org/ ) which is a wrapper around a C library (I believe) that does exactly this. I've used it before, it's pretty fast and stable and you don't have to worry about JVM.

Without a moon there are no tides, so I suspect there would be no tides with the rings since they're evenly distributed. Is this right? Anyone smarter than me care to chime in on this? Also, wouldn't this have a drastic effect on the weathe

Actually, I kind of do think it's like the $10 IPod scam - yes, the fees are disclosed, on another page, in small print. It's not like it's right there along with the price "Only $50 each way, and, oh yeah, and on top of this, you'll be pay

I've done this before, even if ticket prices are a little higher but there are no fees other than what I pay for initially. I hate getting to the airport and getting nickled and dimed at the check-in counter. There just seems to be somethin

I'm not a lawyer but I've seen, and paid for, my share of it, and one thing I know is that if you don't want your lawyers charging you don't fire off emails like; "Hey, if you know X off the top of your head, can you left me know about it?"

Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually thinking about something that could make use of concurrent programming, so maybe some kind of game that utilizes this isn't a bad idea.

I'm sure someone spent some time on this but I fail to see how things makes things easier or clearer. If anything it just muddies the waters. I know that metaprogramming can be hard to get your mind around sometimes, but you're much better

Typically, when you enter deep stage sleep your brain turns your normal motor functions off - it's supposed that this is to stop you from hurting yourself while in deep sleep (although some people suffer from sleep disorders where they do m

I think it has a lot to do with lifestyle/attitude more than age. For example, I'm 40, but I don't have kids, nor a mortgage, nor any other major financial responsibilities. I do have a long term partner but she's also an entrepreneur worki

I used to be exclusively desktop for years - liked the power, liked the larger screens. In the last year I've moved to laptop (about 90% anyway). It all started when I went to NY for a 3 month stint and I haven't looked back since. I have a

Wow, I've been thinking about this a lot. I thought I was the only one :) Although I was kind of thinking a bit larger - building a whole new city within a city - completely self sustaining. With 100M it might be possible :)

Apart from a nicer website, how is this service any different from Mobivity, or half a dozen others? Maybe it's substantially cheaper but I can't seem to find any pricing information.
