I'd love to follow the news in my RSS feed reader. But the 30+ per hour makes it impossible. I'd love a Top News RSS feed with 30-40 items per day. Filtering can be vote count, throttling, etc.

I love functional programming. At least the functional parts of Python. However, Lisp seems better suited for computers than for humans. Which is probably a side effect of having been created when 64kB was a decent memory size.

T is negative, but the concept of nation states is obsolete. It will be very apparent in 20-30 years. I'd not invest my wealth in nostalgia.

Umm, Switzerland??? Significant portion of gold deposits, highest standard of living, etc. Nobody seems to want it though. Their "army" is a few thousand tops. Their vehicle is a Mercedes Benz G Class, seesh.

Instead of that they could just support seceding California -Oregon-Washington from the union. They all live here anyway. It'd have about 50% of the economy and 99% of the innovation. No more bailing out the falling empire.

Sennheiser HD280pro. Nice sound, and completely sealed. A dream to use on planes. -32dB isolation is more than what Bose promises with noise cancellation. I've seen them around 80 on sale.
