It wasn't a personal attack per-se but to simply point out that if a poster puts up an article that contributes nothing other than 'historical interest' then I am going to think twice about clicking on other links from them.

A company I worked at was a Perl shop (online academic publishing) but we found it almost impossible to recruit anyone who had even the smallest of skills in it. At the same time the colleges and universities were churning out Java trained

For us a junior is someone who is starting, possibly a graduate or even just out of school. This is someone who is still learning the craft of programming (gathering real world experience) rather than the text book skills. After a year they

How about ranking by how well they pay. There might be loads of PHP jobs out there but round these parts they have been advertised as "meets minimum national wage". McD pays better

The link you submitted goes straight to the Microsoft sales page. No news, no discussion. Just pure advertising. If you are upgrading to Windows 8 then good for you. But the link you posted is just an advert.

However if you are looking to recruit coders for the project first you need to find a good (PHP / Ruby) coder and then let them help you with the recruiting. If your skills in either PHP or Ruby are not up to snuff then you are likely to ma

HTML and CSS are plenty to create a website with. I appreciate you going the extra distance to make it unreadable in my browser. Dread to think what the magazine is like if this is what you do to a one page website :(

After several years of Java programming I am now in the position of being able to turn down offers of work. I consider having been a Java programmer akin to having appeared in a porn movie. I was young, naive and needed the money. I am seri
