Ah, Trados. I love how on their homepage there's a 1m20s video that shows not a single shot of the godawful UI.

I bought an XPS13 in 2012 or so with Ubuntu preinstalled and it was rock solid for years (although I ran Fedora on it). I remember buying it was really difficult, it wasn't listed on the UK website and in the end I had to phone their s

I use Excalidraw because I like the hand-drawn look when planning/sketching things out. If/when I make the jump to actual documentation I use Mermaid so I can keep everything tidy under source control.

I've used Dracula for years, love it and don't plan on switching any time soon. Having support for pretty much every program I use is a huge factor.

If this means I'll be able to cast to my array of Sonos devices, good. I love Sonos but that's a glaring omission. It feels like they're stuck in the past (plus their devices still don't support RSTP).

I've used the one click TrueNAS app for a while and it's been solid. I had less luck with the TrueCharts o variant. Entirely possible the instability was my fault but the error messages didn't make it obvious what was wrong.

I have this exact setup but with the ADS-4300N. I'm new to it and it's still a novelty. My only complaint is I've had the odd letter get scanned upside down and there's no way to rotate pages in Paperless-ngx.

No, but unless portability is a concern or you're massively familiar with curl, you might want to consider xh. It's much more intuitive. https://github.com/ducaale/xh

The main intent here is for non-technical folks to be able to replace the tens of thousands of low volume PDF forms, not for technical ones to use it while building actual services.

Slim is really nice for some things but the moment you want to style words within sentences or paragraphs it gets really messy and you have to start using unintuitive syntax like `|<` or `|<>` to get the spacing right. You can of c

I believe there were a few that caught fire. I'm sure if they were properly regulated and people weren't importing iffy ones from wish.com that don't meet safety standards, this wouldn't have been such a problem.

The only use case I could see for myself using one would be to get from the station to the office, but e-scooters are banned on trains in the UK. Otherwise it (or similar) is something I might have considered.

My Fish shell is pretty indistinguishable from my Zsh one but it has 5% of the config. You get amazing completion, themes, highlighting, etc out of the box. The only plugin I use is for fzf integration because I can't live without it.

It depends on the level of contribution. You can contribute by responding to the discussions in the backlog[0], by improving the actual distributed styles and code[1] or suggesting improvements to the documentation in the link I posted abov

The best design system around[0] operates entirely in the open. You can look through the history, discussions, PRs, framework-specific implementations and see why it's geared the way it is - and why it's incredibly successful. [0]

Plus Sonos really hasn't kept up. No support for RSTP, no ability to cast audio. I have many devices and use them every day - but if I had a clean slate I don't think I'd buy them again.
