The problem may be deficit spending. Part of the budget is paid for with debt. I don't think you can auto-approve a raise in the debt ceiling.

Agreed, and the increased prices are for existing drugs. We are not seeing an increase in cost due to innovation. Price increases are caused by companies charging more year after year for the same pill.

Florida is trying to act early. Ending daylight saving time is becoming popular throughout the US. Florida's tourism market would reap more gains if we fixed the clocks with an extra hour of sunlight in the evenings.

EEPROM allows you to write individual bytes. Flash requires you to write many bytes (~256) at once. Some flash chips compensate by including a small amount of RAM to handle read-modify-write operations.
