A recent wiring overhaul at my house saw the electrican bundling about 6 cables with my cat6a runs. Never been happier that I went with shielded; no apparent issues despite zero clearance, but imagine non-shielded buried in a wall somewhere

If everyone decided to discuss that then it sounds like they are dealing with it in a collective manner. And I think it's a little ignorant to suggest that the issue is lack of an alternative. How about just don't use it? Or take

One method is to do quick sketches on bits of paper, and just mentally plan on throwing them away, regardless. It helps lift the subconscious weight of thinking someone else might see how bad it is, or that you've ruined some final pro

Sure! More than a few people will go in asking for extra wasabi because it is 'good for their memory'. Ethical restaurants will have to explain that a majority of wasabi (at least in the US) is actually horseradish. I have little

Do you know if UHD implemented something similar? Its not the same tech, though doesn't mean they couldn't have added it. If it is at that point, then the only solution is VHS and rips, short of preventing revocation within a blur

You could disable updates, as well as just not plugging it in. I appreciate the possibility of updates since most things I own that can't be updated have odd bugs that drive me crazy.

I've been doing the same; the UHD rescans of classics like 2001 and Casablanca look fantastic. But now I'm even considering keeping my dad's old Betamax collection with the state of things, movies disappear from existence now

Ive have gotten maybe one or two a week for the previous month and then 4 yesterday nearly back to back. But at the same time I've been having legitimate (including manually marked not-spam, repeatedly) get dumped in spam instead

For me its dualing implementations of is_alpha & is_string_alpha (and other similar pairs) that do the same thing but one is a 'for', and the other a 'while' loop

I think its pretty clear, Show HN is for readily showing a project, not getting email addresses. Any service should be able to create a demo account. The quote is them just asking nicely and clearly to make it accessible.

I watched one where the guy went in afterhours, yelled at a clerk, then at the custodian for vacuuming the floor, even yanked the plug out of the wall accusing them of trying to silence them. These psychos don't even see they are t

“GNU slash Linux” Its a matter of personal opinion and perspective. I find their attitude generally to be toxic, even if it is just based in good ideals; how you communicate with others does matter.

Not sure why you're so confident in Google, they don't have the track record. At best you'll maybe get a year notice. If it doesn't actively generate money there is little incentive for them keep things around

In my area I've noticed the problem isn't so much that they are brighter, but that our new bulbs just emit light near 180 degrees (sideways) with no control over direction. It causes light to flood into homes, and more than half i
