But with computing becoming cheaper, you only need 2 integers to compress any data. http://penduin.blogspot.hu/2006/10/pi-compression.html

The security implications and unpredictable resource availability never made it feasible to run a real production site from shared hosting.

Well, the biggest issue with PHP in my opinion was the interpreter. Let's cut the cost of function calls by 90%, and PHP would be back in the game of performant languages.

Drupal 8 is being developed in the Symfony framework. You may have been exposed to a deployment running in development mode (app_dev.php in the URL is a good sign even if not a necessity). Once the debug flag is turned off, Symfony won'

Reference intake for sugar is about 90g. http://www.foodlabel.org.uk/label/reference-intakes.aspx I find it difficult (but also fun) to resist all the treats.

Why wouldn't I want to write that? Clearly you need a little practice before instantly recognizing a partially applied function where the next parameter will be appended to your other string, but that one-liner has actually a very nice

You either enforce 100% purity, or your language is not pure. Haskell chose to walk the former path. In that case reading global state needs to happen in the IO monad even if it is reading a couple of command line arguments. Though I comple

It's not a black box in the sense you can move it around, evaluate later, not evaluate at all, etc. There is fundamentally nothing you can inspect about a general IO operation: it's a handle to a computation dealing with the exter
