Perhaps it doesnt matter, if this provides a large enough software base, then fedora, arch, gentoo etc would perhaps just write a guix->(dpkg|rpm|...) converter to keep their distribution up to date. Not sure if it would be possible bu

Anyone know how this really could be useful? If it took the thing 5-10 seconds to multiply two numbers, and it also needed input as of punch cards. How could it at any point be faster than doing calculations manually? I'm genuinely interes

Indeed, I've heard they tried using nfc's on customer baskets to track their movement around the store and see where they stop and for how long. Very interesting.

Really great idea, integration to non-oauth email providers seems like a hurdle though. Requiring full credentials is a less good idea. If they add post-read-filtering of the inbox it would handle some sorting after the work is finished as

If it just had been the open source clone of instagram which I could host somewhere of my own to really own the results. And get my friends to join this shared space as well, so we wouldn't be dependent on instagram as much. Something like

ODBC is a good common connector. I would also expect excelfiles to work, quite useful when doing temporary mockup stuff. How do you compare with for example qlikview?

I couldnt agree more, setting up Bike on every other server gives you the same maintenance headache(perhaps a little simpler) as having a version of phpMyAdmin on each. I just yesterday wrote a blogpost about tunneling mysql and using a loc

This sounds really interesting, I might have been close to building this before without realizing. :) Seems really easy to setup as well, will be interesting to hear any counter-argument in the comments.
