Thanks for open sourcing this 1000mem. What is average request latency for a 2mb photo? We tried to do something similar with python, but we found there's a 300ms latency between s3 and ec2. It takes quite a few seconds to transfer from s3

The pricing gap is still huge between hosted and enterprise. For 25 seats, it's $600/yr hosted and $10,000/yr enterprise. Hopefully Atlassian will drive them to fix that.

If you look at MacRuby, it actually takes a very similar approach. You need something like HotCocoa on top to make it more Ruby like.
