it depends I don't use it for local development. It is a great way to launch local machines but if all you are doing is coding apps with python/ node ./ruby etc then vagrant is overkill when you can use docker compose and do

last job 90 servers in different environments. Everything was managed via ansible. Once you have everything automated it it is a breeze to support and environment.

If you have all the code ( product ) why don't you launch ? what is your biggest fear. you already did a lot of the work don't be afraid to fail. if you fail you will fail fast and that is good. Don't be afraid of failure
