Yeah MD5 is better to a degree, although 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99 is still the most common password (md5 hashed) hehe :P

It's insane to me that it's not "common knowledge" to AT LEAST hash the passwords. It's also interesting because 6 used an encryption algorithm, 10 used MD5 which is as good as plaintext nowadays IMO, and 8 used Bas

I personally read the article to be addressing 192 kHz as a consumer of the music, I have a feeling for those producing (or mixing, etc.) it's a bit different. It's kinda like how there's advantages of recording at 8k, bette

My understanding (disclaimer, not a lawyer) would be yes this would be a violation. However the group of people who connect to random MySQL servers is going to be almost exclusively black-hat. This would be akin to "But officer he stol

This is dangerous for anyone who connects to random MySQL databases with the default settings of most clients as it allows arbitrary file reads? The segment at risk is almost exclusively black-hat, although maybe you could MiTM a connection

I would be HIGHLY against this idea of an implant, it feels far too distopian (and I'd argue possibly against a person's right to their body). I'm not in the medical field but I'm sure there's many places such as &q

At least in the web development world we have sourcemaps for that, html/css/js can all be inspected and debugged in their original form. Is there anything like this for C?

Here's an idea, let's make different connector shapes depending on the cable/connector's capabilities, lets do one for connectors that support display, one for power, one for thunderbolt, that way they're easy for t

Plus how would we share this "pin"? Maybe we could append it to the phone number, like "+1 (616) 281 - 2123#32343" - Oh wait, it's already a number, what's the point of adding more onto it? It would literally t

Here's a fun one too: iPhone 7's and up don't have clicky home buttons. They vibrate to simulate a "click", although it is still a separate piece from the rest of the phone. Try turning one off and pressing it, they

Home buttons break? Do you mean break in the UX/UI or physically break? I've worked at a phone repair shop for the last 2 years, and I mainly work on iPhones. Very, very rarely are home buttons broken outside of a repair. Usually
