I'm impressed at how straightforward they are regarding their plugin's future: Longer term, however, we expect that the performance and feature gap between the Web Player and WebGL will become much more narrow, and we expect that

Go's simplicity didn't stop me from ending up with a messy, bloated and monolithic project on my first try, but static typing and good test coverage makes refactoring relatively painless.

Chinese is high maintenance, and has very small cultural overlap with westerners. Becoming good at a language is only half the battle; the second half is to stay good, and for that you need to maintain it. English has the massively unfair

Lacking good counter-arguments to the article, I'll just vote with my wallet and sign up for the current tarsnap today. To be fair, I had been contemplating it for a while, but this just pushed me over the edge. I feel manipulated. :D

It's a joke referring to the "MongoDB is Web Scale" meme. The FAQ is quite suggestive: Q: Why is it called WebScaleSQL? A: While there are a variety of origin stories for the name depending on who you ask, ... They just don&#

What struck me in this post (apart from being extremely cute and hipsterish) is that Airbnb is behind it - and while it's true that Airbnb increases occupancy, it's also caters to short-term stays where people are less likely to g

That's the exact reason why I love the movie theater: no one has any control at all outside of walking out, so everyone pushes their ADHD to the side and commits to the movie for two hours. Once the movie is over, you might still think

I usually don't like video walk-throughs, but this one was very snappy and a pleasure to watch. By a happy coincidence, I was just going to start building an API backend in Go today or tomorrow for a side project, and was thinking abou

I'm glad to know that. I tend to spend my extra time doing company work, which cannot always be open-sourced; for example, a few months ago I wrote a small Go project, which is going to end up on the company intranet and wouldn't

FWIW, migrating from a RC downloaded 2 days ago to this final release broke some stuff, most notably related to glyphicons CSS - so if you plan on upgrading, just be aware that it might not be seamless.
