This is an interesting topic, but it is sad to see how people react to it. A lot of comments here saying the whole system is broken. An average poor man in the US probably lives better than kings lived in the past. Food, water, food, hospit

Idk much about corporate taxes in Brazil, but I do know that the poor pay way too much, a minimum wage employee pays taxes and "contributions" and other forms of taxations, such as FGTS and inflation. And they pay again when buyin

hmn, do you mean corruption is not as bad as income inequality? Because one can argue that corruption foster inequality, where government workers steal money from the people, they give favor to rich "friends" making them richer. I

Yeah, there is a saying that “Politics is downstream from culture”, the Brazilian culture does not help. I don't have much hope.

I have the same issue, if we could change the percentages we could ignore the dollar signs.

I'd like to know what aggressive/conservative means, and also be able change it, aggressive in the US might be different than in other countries.

On the math part, I see a lot of complaints on the rich, in these case the big four are indeed huge, but compared to what? Last time I check none of these had reach $ 1T value, compared to the US government that expends $ 3T a year. No one

Yeah, the doctors I've talked to tend to say the same. A neurosurgeon seeing a MRI or CT scan of my wife's brain said it would be amusing to see her brain's tissues, but fortunately it was not needed. I had a surgery in my hi

Wow, the state deems drugs to be illegal, but anarcho-capitalism is to blame somehow. A lot of people here are so steadfast to the bigger state idea that they see it everywhere as a solution even when it's the cause.

Dilma was caught in a letter trying to buy the Paraguay Congress to add Venezuela to Mercosul. Although I think this had nothing to do with the impeachment. > without proof of any crime Is misleading. She deserved to be impeached, and so

You are right, sorry for that, but this would really long comment. We could point out socialist/communist countries, they are/were not better off trying to implant cosmic justice, they ended up worse. The difference now seems to b

The point was that it's too complicated, trying to fix is pointless, my point is that it is not fixable, if you accept that is a problem, even in a perfect wealth redistribution system, there will be luck involved. But I also make the

I'd argue that this argument is invalid for practical uses. Saying that luck is unfair is in my opinion a useless and even evil idea, it can be used to justify terrible acts. Everything is luck, or did you choose what family you'd
