Largely a left-wing echo chamber here (and also seems to be much more European here than the average forum), so everyone here all thinks Musk is doing something illegal just because he's right-wing. These raids are entirely political.

Not sure if you're a .NET/C# person, but PDBs are a bit different tho in that they contain full debug information and you can absolutely decompile a .DLL + .PDB combo. Very successfully even in the case of obfuscation.

Yep, and nobody ever goes on these types of threads and says the EU is collapsing, even though there's demonstrable evidence that things are not going great for the EU (the UK left, there is virtually zero economic dynamism or tech inv

Precisely. People in this thread almost seem mad that the economy didn't crash in Trump's first year.

And then when it gets it wrong and you ask why it grew a nose instead of an ear: "You're absolutely right! I can fix this!"

Utter nonsense. The scale of disruption with LLMs is almost unfathomable. Every small business in the country has basically abandoned the big platforms and expensive enterprises for IT support, marketing and digital content creation, HR, le

Most of the comments here feel like cope about AI TBH. There's never been an innovation like this ever, and it makes sense to get on board rather than be left behind.

Are you intentionally missing the point? Our films made in the US are already neutered from a free-speech perspective because we're chasing opinions that are politically correct in China . We don't want to worsen that by bendin

Well, yes. American films obviously have been soft on China because they've been desperate for access to the Chinese market. You don't bite the hand that feeds. In a similar way, if a significant amount of film production moves to

There are big issues with foreign cinema. We still have a lot of structural advantages in the US to producing films. Production has shifted to other countries because of significant tax incentives. These tax incentives are a way that other

There are things to sort out, but it's certainly doable. They can probably use direct COGS to determine the tariff basis.

This tariff isn't an attack on Hollywood. This helps actors and staff in the Hollywood area.

I'm not even sure it was ever true. I think it's just become part of the folklore of urban leftists, potentially as a way to justify their lives even when nobody was demanding a justification.

This is like the 90s Christian companies that would strip out violence/language/sexual themes from movies and repackage them for families. I'm sure there's a market for woke-washed books, but I can't help but sense

Also better make sure your device doesn't receive a software update that wipes out access in the future based on some arbitrary licensing decision.

The leveling system is a bit off. Level 3 doesn't mean "better" than Level 2. A Level 2 system might actually offer the best safety profile of any of the Levels. That's what I'm getting at: there's a lot of run

I'll also add that I think what Waymo is doing right now is closer to a semi-autonomous streetcar. There's probably immense value in that approach, especially as an alternative to mass-transit systems that have costly labor, but i

If you can do 95%, that might be good enough. Obviously if you could automate the entirety of the process, that would be ideal, but consumers may simply change their behavior to accommodate the 5% difference. Uber/Lyft already changed
