So you as a developer are not allowed to install a code editor... To edit code... Which is... Your profession... So you need to use a Web browser as a code editor because... Installing a binary to the disk is not allowed? It's crazy!

Your solutions are to problems that a decent developer doesn't accept anyway. Working on locked down machine where you are not allowed to have visual code? Seriously? Working on a chromebook? Why? Sorry to be negative but I feel someti

I don't think this will be a success. If I get to choose between this and my own local installation, of course i will run the local version. Why would I want to sit in the browser? To continue on the same cursor position I was if I swi

And with windows 11 requiring certain processors, I'm pretty sure Intel built something even more interesting into those ones which will make AMT look like childsplay.

It's interesting how our minds just give up when we realize all cloud providers are doing it. We accept our fate as weak consumers, unable to do anything.

"About Iran" wasn't needed in the title. The media doesn't tell you the truth. Full stop.

I don't think humans are smart enough to avoid this fate. The future will be exactly like the dystopian movies we are watching because that's what the megacorps want. It's pretty simple to see, but a lot of people don't

Yes. Linux run most games now. In practice there are a few small bugs here and there so Windows is still prefered for some games but I can play 90% of them on Linux with no issues at all.

It's only a matter of time before we find out how much extra user spying they added in Windows 11, in exchange for having icons in the middle of the taskbar. Seriously, switch to Pop OS now. Windows is not going to get better, only wor

It's not obvious to you because you don't post anything that is removed. You never actually see censorship if you are not censored.

Those algorithms are used to control discussions and censor things as well. This is completely obvious if you pay attention to what is removed. The excuse is always to fight bots and spam, but it's exactly like how the war on terror is

What a ridicolous amount....aws is almost mocking the curl developers with such a shitty sum and a one-time payment as well. What is wrong with these tech companies? Completely out of touch with the reality of the rest of the planet.

Yep. The thinkpads I've had running Linux has supported s3 sleep but it feels like it's going away more and more. You start with a laptop at 80% charged if you use Microsofts stupid system. The more I use Linux, the more annoyed I

I have a hard time believing real programmers would allow something like that in production code... But I guess if its corporate, nobody cares about the quality.

We need to change how shells are working in the same way we need to change how email is working. No change needed whatsoever. The technology is perfect in its simplicity and independent from big tech mafia.

I'm a 10x human being. I don't feel pressure to be anything from any outside person. Highly recommended to learn that and grow yourself as a human, not as a programmer. Nothing you build today will even remain a couple of years do

I've also given up on humanity. Feels like I'm forced to live inside a zoo, and all the low iq apes are convinced they are changing the world by picking up banana peels.
