It is protectionism for hotels. However, HOAs and City Councils will make the claims that this is to "protect" apartment owners from unknowing short-term sub-renting of their properties. We have the same problem here in Austin, e

Big rigs are not concerned with turning right vs left for efficiency. They rarely need to turn at all, because they do long distance hauls (either between states or cities).

This brings up an interesting point of social engineering compromising LinkedIn. LinkedIn should immediately put a Captcha on their contact info display to stop this JS attack!

I have a suspicion this app is harvesting all your LinkedIn contacts, uploading them to the app.sellhack.com server, and then as a "reward" for you giving up all that info, you can pull other contacts back out of sellhack.com. If

Google is hopefully going to fill the fiber internet gap. It's interesting to see Time Warner and AT&T scramble to put out their own "gigabit" services, after Google announces coming to Austin.

I'll go with Occam's Razor: Amazon just responded to Google's newly announced pricing. To believe they guessed correctly or they have a "mole" is pretty far fetched.

Moore's law is quite amazing. I believe there are 4 reasons why GPUs have taken off conventionally as compared to FPGAs: 1. Last I checked, the FPGA vendors will not open their toolchains up, and not even document the bitstream formats

Agreed it's bizarre from Facebook's perspective. But completely logical from Oculus' perspective -- if someone offers you $2B to cash out before you've even launched, you'd be silly to say no.
