In the ridiculous clockwork that is "modern" software deployment, sure. But what if you're just trying to stand up a rails app on a boring linux droplet?

It is even weirder to me how business has latched on to the term "APIs" like some kind of rabid dog biting into your ass Like, this is a fundamental aspect of how I interact with my job and business has taken the term and elevated

This archive is especially a treasure. The sound effects library here is very comprehensive for its time. Foley artists and musicians can save themselves a ton of money by using this library instead of yet another rent-seeking cloud service

llama.cpp needs the files to be in ggml format, there is a command string you can run to convert one from the other (as well as perform quantization). Or just download the GGML version https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaM

No, it's not. You are reading into things. There is no elevating one modality above the other, they are related but different. Why are you projecting your own biases into my statement? Call a spade a spade. What you take away beyond th

> I think your starting point is still kinda skewed, because "heteronormative" is a made-up thing by society rather than an actual thing someone can be. It's a term rooted in the conditions that make sex a reproductive act

It's not equivocation, it's a categorization of heteronormative and not-heteronormative. Personally I suspect the issue here is that incest is the only form of sexual activity that we have a natural proclivity against, probably be

Oh god no. None of these are good metrics. All are gameable. If my workplace enacted this then I would quit. And KPIs are the truncheon that managers use to smash others' heads in. There should be no metrics, for anyone, only RESULTS.

Agreed. The idea that words can bring curses or displease some fictional deity is a dated trope with no place in modern society. Which means the only reason left is that it displeases certain people to hear them... but fuck those folks for

What makes you think that the changes that are made in SaaS are always an improvement? Sometimes that models permanently destroys something without providing users a recourse for going back. See: Warcraft II, or World of Warcraft

Then there is the problem that the emulated games can't connect to their servers or verify their DRM so they run in demo mode. Every Extra Extend Extreme is one example, frustrating as I own this one.

I like the sandboxing model but virtual machines add way too much abstraction and overhead. Apple's approach is really good here IMO, as a user I need to be able to do things like select any file at any time, and it will under-the-hood
