This is an absolutely awful attitude. All you need to do to witness lack of internet yourself is drive a couple hours' north of San Francisco. Now imagine that a huge chunk of the world is far worse off than this.

AI is many things, but deterministic with natural language it is not.

I kind of see these AI tools like a superhero's toolbelt -- great, when it's on you. But one doesn't always have the luxury of internet access. It is best not to overrely on AI, or any cloud service for that matter.

Powershell's syntax is so fucking weird and verbose. I guess if you live in Microsoft land all day and write code in C# it's fine, but I would really like it if we all could collectively agree on one set of syntax rules. I don

What about, "I don't ever seem to have any good ideas worth pursuing" and "everything I can think of doing has already been or is currently being done by people way better funded than me"?

I may not need PuTTY, but I like me a nice GUI that I can point and click with ssh command is absolutely fine, but I much prefer a list of saved presets versus ~/.ssh/config file fuckery

I didn't like Ashes of the Singularity, I really don't like the capture point game mode that it seemed to revolve around (though Dawn of War did the same thing and that didn't bother me...) Planetary Annihilation is cool too

Supreme Commander is a great start Personally, I'd also recommend Homeworld and the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War series On the free-and-open-source front there is Zero-K (which I don't care for) and Beyond All Reason, both of these

Who cares what 'most people do'? Why are we constantly resorting to this tired refrain of "majority rules"? Have you all forgotten that niche things exist?

If there is one thing about Paint.net that I really like, it is that is has separate, simple controls for manipulating a selection independently of whatever the selection is selecting. Like you can move the marching ants around super easy.
