I vote for the hypothesis of them being complacent and wanting to score quick and easy wins. In terms of therapeutic approaches I can't blame them but you are right that a lot of the current technology is too old and doesn't even

Even if so, that's besides the point IMO. I for one would prefer to use software that makes full use of the system's resources. Bonus points if this is a knob that we can turn.

I get the picture, yes, namely that probably 99% of project dependencies don't need I/O capabilities at all. And even if they do, they should be controlled in a granular manner i.e. "package org.ourapp.net.aws can only do net

I challenge the authors of this website to show me a software written in the last 10 years that never had a bug. I have scanned the first 20-ish items and it seems those are either fixed or not considered important (unsure about the latter;

That looks great, thank you. Just a quick Q in case you are aware: any apps/services that can help me formulate and do (daily) exercises about fixing a straightened lumbar lordosis?

Too much generalization. Not interesting and not a discussion. No idea why you even bothered to reply. I stated an opinion. You can reject it silently. Having the last word is not such a badass move as many people think. :)

You have too much faith in the social system. Clue: I am in Eastern Europe. We have exactly zero protection. Not small. Zero. TL;DR if my reserves dwindle, I get thrown on the street. No conditions. No if-s. No but-s. No social safety net.

Let me be crystal clear that I am NOT defending Asimov here; he used his fame and was aware that many of the women will not be believed if they spoke out -- and shamelessly took advantage of that. Combine that with my strictly personal opin

One of the most refreshing things about this part of the Foundation books was that I couldn't quite figure out who was in fact the main character. I too eventually concluded it was Bayta since she was the one who figured out who The Mu

To your last: yep, especially having in mind that Redis is ephemeral. I've had much more success with SQLite + a bunch of stricter validators (as SQLite itself is sadly pretty loose), and more performance too.

Those headlines help me understand what I am getting so I seriously have no idea what argument you are trying to make. You do seem to say Golang and/or Rust devs are zealots which, if it is indeed what you are saying, is boring and pla

And I see people who assume choosing a language was done for "flashy stuff" the less capable. See, we can all generalize. Not productive. Only thing I ever saw from Golang devs was pragmatism. I myself go either for Elixir or Rust
