What's the benefit for startups to use this versus a $30 off the shelf router? It seems more for enterprises. Also the title makes it sound like there's a giveaway with 15k worth of routers or something but it's actually 15k per participat

I don't know if anyone ever doubted Tim Cook as a good/credible CEO. The only issue is whether or not he can be jobs-level which is unlikely but remains to be seen.

Thanks for doing this. I saw something similar for Python and kept meaning to do a Rails version.

Better examples would make this better eg: if you applied the terminal style to the rest of the login page for example so it looked like logging into linux looks. It's cool that this exists and hopefully someone will have a use for it.

I would change clients if the new client prioritized speed. I hate waiting and dealing with constant lag just because I don't like deleting email. If you build a client that can handle 10k+ emails spread through 5 different inboxes I woul

I don't mean simple is lazy in any way, I mean what I said: "Flat design looks lazy". Not having hover states for your buttons looks lazy. Not making it clear to users what pieces of the page they're meant to interact with looks lazy.

Flat design looks lazy more than anything. I appreciate the effort good design takes and sometimes it's best to just get something simple out there quickly but I'd rather see browser defaults than styled buttons that purposefully have no h

Funded startups and Ad agencies are often looking for freelancers and a cold email can go a long way.

This isn't a problem for me. It's still built with extreme precision and not liking a minor design decision doesn't make it any less finely crafted. And it's still a big improvement over the previous version. iPhone 4S side: http://www.i

Launching Summer 2012? This looks really interesting but I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy using it day to day. Having the 'review in the future' type of features integrated into a standard mail client would be nice though. That said, if th

By messes up terminal history do you mean when you push up in terminal the previous lines that show up are rendered badly or that your actual history is effected in some way?

Link bait title. I expected a new API release, a discussion of existing APIs, etc. "APIs are the future of Manufacturing" or something is a bit better.

I'm not familiar with that story but I know teams of copywriters & art directors that do this currently in the ad industry to great success. I'm not sure how well that would work for a startup though, seems like an easy way to mess up

Ignoring the time commitment this has got to be cheaper than poor quality laminate and it looks amazing. That said, it would have been pretty cool to just do a quality tile mosaic on the floor considering the writer is a mosaic artist.

The article mentions the blurred line between collaborating and cheating. Seems like this is the former since it requires analysis rather than just comparing matching answers.

It's incredible how high the punishments for cheating are. 1 year suspension for collaborating on a take home test?

not sure if you're an obj-c dev but for me the surprise was that it even needed to be mentioned since it's extremely easy and common place to do processing outside of the main thread in current apps.

I don't hate objective c / XCode nearly enough to pursue a solution like this even though I like and appreciate ruby. In my opinion the only way this would be the future is if apple started providing support for it.

No time to read this now but I'll definitely get to it later. The first part ( http://www.codeofhonor.com/blog/the-making-of-warcraft-part-... ) was a treat to read, I wish there were more stories like this around.
