I'm pushing 50 and personally I love the look. Their attention to details and execution are amazing. It's perfection. But my aging eyes would like option to turn of the translucency altogether. That would be gold.

I don't mind physicality, but not glass. Please. There are reasons why most controls are NOT made of glass in real life.

Just because it mimics glass that exists in real life, that doesn't make it skeuomorphism. skeuomorphism is grounded on real world counterparts. How many buttons in real life are actually made of glasses clear or frosted?

Agreed. I also think too many people are trying to emulate his exact style, mostly to their detriment even though Jobs honed the craft for decades.

thanks for the list. it's brilliant. I can't but wonder though... are we slave to productivity? What do we need this omnipresent help? I'm sure some people do. If you're CEO of a large company, if you are a doctor see

For movies that have heavy CGI / blue screen reliance, it is almost irrelevant where it is actually shot.

I agree. The urine on floor is because people are generally less careful in public toilet when aiming, peeing, fully draining, and flicking. When we're outside, we are generally more in rush. We had to 'hold in' longer befo

As a data guy, I'm not sure how useful this chart is. But it sure is fun to look at. I enjoyed it ;-) Not sure why it would intermittently redraw the whole scene though.. could be a Chrome thing.

They actually omitted M2 from a lot of the comparisons, which isn't surprising because M3 was only 10-15% faster.

Kilimani to jkir is about 20 km and a bit over half hour ride. Their published rate is about 16 bucks. A longer 52km ride is about 38 bucks. It’s cheap by western. Not sure how it fares against other comparable countries.
