I actually like the new Tropicana packaging (as shown at the top of the article). It looks more hip and healthy, like something that would be sold at Whole Foods, as opposed to the old packaging, which strikes me as more nostalgic (e.g. "Y

This article reminds of another Canadian university prof named David Noble who doesn't give grades either. He seems to have found a way to do it without getting fired though. Giving Up the Grade - David Noble http://www.policyalternativ

Seconded. In my experience, meditation can lead you into some wonderful states of consciousness, but its effects on stress reduction are relatively minor compared to other options e.g. getting enough sleep, exercising, eating a healthy die

Best comment from the comments on the 37signals site: It’s ironic that this post is about all the ways a band can make money, but the trailer for the documentary focuses largely on the fact that Luna makes no money and barely breaks even o

I would love to have primary care for cash here in Canada. Given the current system, you can't receive a given medical treatment unless you can convince a doctor to authorize it. Even if you are willing to pay out of pocket, you are out o

If anybody is looking for the Niklaus Wirth book, you can find a copy here: http://www.dbnet.ece.ntua.gr/~adamo/csbooksonline/CBEAll.pdf The link on the author's homepage seems to be broken.

I've been using Wing 101 for the last couple of months (after reading the Python IDE reviews on Jonathan Ellis' blog), and I've been fairly happy with it. Links to the reviews: http://spyced.blogspot.com/2005/09/review-of-6-python-ides.h..
