Germany actually uses their own card system .. or cash. They are very much against visa/mastercard due to their “high commission fees” and “privacy concerns” Girocard charges a 0,3% fee vs visa/mastercard 3% See: https:/

I didn’t claim it violated them either. I just thought having a curious story was a good enough value for this post to exist. I don’t think it needs code or a product.. in fact .. I wish more people did this kind of posts.. and just encoura

From the guidelines: “Hacker News Guidelines What to Submit On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that

That’s not true. There’s a whole business industry in Germany for legal buro’s who specialize in basically extorting business into paying for their services to make their websites or compliant .. or be sued and face a 54k euro fine. I perso

No, this was not about the alternative image format. This was about the browsers and screen resolutions that we choose to fully support. We took the data directly from the website visitors analytics. Basically .. resolutions under 1024px

Sure, and what I meant was .. calling 7am “late” is a bit of an overstatement.. people start working at 8/9 am. Where I come, by 6am you’re already in your car on your way to work/school. And THERE.. 7am is late. But Germany… no

I don’t think you understand depression. There’s a big difference between depression and sadness … like the difference between purple and green. They are just not comparable. This is not shades of a different color. My personal experience

I think it’s hard to “get” modern art with no context. I think you can start by asking yourself: “what am I looking at?”.. and just reply yourself .. out loud .. in your mind… however .. then .. explore what you feel .. what it reminds you
