Very interesting indeed. I would love an iPhone nano. Headphone jack + core apps on an ultra low power cpu.

Headphone jack is a driver of innovation and early adoption as well. Look at mobile payments for instance, 1st available on 3.5mm. It's a good connector to have.

In the process of switching over to porkbun. Never had a problem with namecheap, I just prefer my providers to keep the web 100% open and free.

Makes me think of Steve Gibsons Security Now episode on the 4 factors of security: 1: Something you know (Password) 2: Something you have (OTP) 3: Something you are (Bio) 4: Someone you know (3rd Party) In 2024, the last 2 seem a bit more c

Every time I have to troubleshoot a MacOS problem for a customer, I have to filter out the results from support.apple because it's mostly leading you down the wrong path.

Apple behaviour has invoked the "pause button" on my purchasing of new hardware from them. Nobody wants to build on your platform if you're a tyrant.

Or sell it for cash at a slight discount. People go through worse things when their local fiat goes out of wack.

This. I want a M series but instead I bought a used 2019 intel on ebay. You can get a 2019 16" for around $440 right now and the screen and speakers are amazing :) Been gaming on it too. Buying this far down the chain keeps the dollars

This is a horrible idea. When presented with a potential target, you're already biased to see an excuse to take human life. What happens when a person gets burnt out?

I know this doesn't solve the issue but the browser plugin "unhook" is a nice quality of life improvement. I turn off homepage, autoplay, recommendations and have it take me strait to my subs when I type youtube.com.

Apple is so full of shit (I'm a user BTW). We're getting to the point where browsers can do really cool things and they're scared of losing their 30% mafia like tax. It's the browser wars all over again.
