That’s kinda the point of TFA. Open Web Docs is funded by donations and works with MDN on the free-forever web focused content. MDN is part of Mozilla and just as lost in the woods as the rest of that organization. You can donate to Open We

Wow that comparison is really cool. Looking at BPG vs original, you can see some loss of fine detail as the file size cranks down, but you can get an excellent reproduction with an order of magnitude less storage. Seems like BPG is smoothin

I think it's a combination of things. - Showroom effect. You want to put your best foot forward when a consumer is only dipping in for a moment. Louder grabs attention harder. - Crappy consumer stereo equipment. Low sensitivity, poor l

You explain this in the "how does this website work?" FAQ, but you could be even more up front about it. I expected this to try to do something interesting about cookie management or privacy policies (which is pretty hard TBH). Yo

It's hard to argue with Apple's specific design choices (locked down App Store) while also complaining that the competitor's device fails to deliver the same quality and experience. Apple's design choices around stuff l

I like the AppStore and want it to be good. Clearer, more consistent app reviews and better developer experience would increase the quality, quantity and variety of apps available to me in the AppStore.

I would get a lot of value out of a tool like this. I have a strong preference for a portable executable and file-based storage. Performance can be a problem with those, but I want to use my existing file management and synchronization tool

Yup. Critical stuff I always look for is (1) can I self-host it? (2) what’s my off-ramp if they 10x the price or go out of business?

I bought one of these for my kid. He’s not quite old enough for it yet. Key challenge: what software do I put on it? My main ideas are: (1) touch typing instruction game (2) some way to interact with a very controlled group of people… maybe

a high-quality DAC would be pretty neat. I'm not sure what connectors would be best though. RCA would be ideal, but those are probably too thick. Mini jack is obvious, but low quality. It'd be particularly cool to get balanced out

I agree. Interoperability of digital goods would allow the creator economy to grow in very cools ways. NFTs only solve one part of the problem though - rights management. You still need a good way for a cosmetic designed for game X to work

I agree. NFTs are currently useless, but interoperability would change that. One of the big drawbacks of current DRM tools is that they're centralized within a single vendor. If there are multiple vendors for a digital item, you can&#x
