Zoo and openSCAD both create 3D objects using code in a domain specific language. Other than that, very different. OpenSCAD has limited ambitions; Zoo wants to kill Autodesk. Zoo is building a commercial grade product suite from first princ

OpenSCAD is my go-to. It's self-contained and AI coding tools know the syntax well enough to help you move fast. Unfortunately I keep hitting a complexity ceiling. If it doesn't like how I'm describing something, it crashes.

That is super cool! I might need to build one of those. My family needs a way to keep the fridge calendar up to date with our digital calendar.

I recommend reading The Politics Industry by Katherine Gehl and Michael Porter for a thorough (but accessible) systems-first analysis of the American political system + recommendations for reforms. https://gehlporter.com/

A related concept from psychology/education is “the zone of proximal development.” It extends this “edge” concept to consider how much further you can push with support from a coach. https://www.simplypsychology.org/zon

The Ioniq 6 is SO CLOSE to being beautiful. The concept version was awesome. Somehow the production version got tweaked just enough to break the effect for me. I had no idea that Space Porche and Standard Sedan were so close in my mental sp

It would ideal to price in end of life costs. Oh, it takes $100 to return that $50 item to usable materials? It is now a $150 item. Of course, you should also price in the environmental costs of manufacturing, shipping, and using the thing.

That’s a pretty savvy open-core strategy: paywall features that create risk of legal liability so they are only used when there’s a paying customer/operator to assume that risk.

How did you build it? I can imagine an architecture where I throw everything into ArchiveBox, then run VectorDB as a plugin with Gradio or some such as the client. https://vectordb.com/

I agree with this take. Securing a free society is serious, nuanced, and essential challenge. The state needs powerful capabilities to provide credible defense. Unchecked, those capabilities can be used to reduce freedoms. The essential wor

I agree. Loading up a bar you're not sure you can lift... staring at it, prepping form, breathing deep, planning your move, then pushing as hard as you - safely - can... it's very engaging.
