Are integers still a preferred method for working with and storing monetary amounts or can we go back to decimals now that most languages handle decimals decently? Monetary amounts pretty much always need to eventually be presented to human

Is Apple TV+ at all necessary? Always seemed to me a lousy idea for Apple to pursue. There are plenty of good options that have already watered down all the efforts. The great unbundling has resulted in the great re-bundling. Apple should f

Bills that could kill major new industries need to be reactive, if at all. This was a terrible bill. Thank you, Governor.

I would say peer review is guaranteed to have major problems either with researchers writing what their peers will approve and reviewers being afraid to diverge from the party lines.

We are in progress of putting a basketball hoop at the end of our dead-end street and are unfortunately concerned that there are a handful of residents who probably don't want it. I swing back and forth on who I think "the bad guy

I'm speaking from 25 years of first-hand experience. The money doesn't need to move instantly at 99% of POS scenarios, just the understanding that the money will eventually move.

No one cars about the speed in most payments. FedNow is as complicated as ACH and has even fewer protections.

Except that US commerce dwarfs pretty much all other countries. Visa & Mastercard arguably play a major role in such dominance.

FedNow will not become an alternative to consumer payment cards anytime soon, if ever. Visa & Mastercard work very well for payments between strangers.
