Twitter is a cesspool so ruining what it is is a positive thing. It cannot get worse from here. At worst, it dies; at best, it returns to its former glory circa 2012. Both sound like wins to me.

It's not at all reasonable to accuse someone of being on drugs when making an offer to buy a billion dollar company just because you don't like them. Stick to facts and you'll have others' support (including mine).

That's not how lawsuits work. You don't sue someone for something they might do with zero indication that they will. When you buy a company headquartered in California and elect to layoff half of it, you probably know your legal

Thanks for the image but to me personally it only raises more questions. If sucralose "impairs glycemic response", then why does the line go up more aggressive on the "glycemic response" chart? Is having a higher respons

Glad someone else got stuck here. I couldn't figure out from context whether this is good or bad and looking up "glycemic response" still didn't clear up whether it's a desired trait or not in terms of sweeteners, h

I demand more for myself. I would also be ashamed convincing people I don't have enough as it is. It's possible to prefer to make $500K over $200K and not argue that $200K is peanuts to live on. Argue that you prefer the even more

Leaving you with $48,000 to $72,000 for everything else, roughly twice as much as much as the median pretax individual income. The horror.

I witness plenty of misery every time I visit Europe. It reminds me that most places are about the same averaged out. Reminder that the US has the highest median disposable income in the world, not just the highest top percentiles.

Grossly overpaid? What are you basing that on? Every company that is paying big bucks is generating revenue that is 5x+ the cost of the employee. Many tech employees are underpaid, if anything.

Large companies have a ton of “cash” — but it’s not really cash, it’s parked in equities of other companies. If the whole market goes down and those equities are worth less, yes, the company is less valuable overall so market cap should be

3D TVs sales once rose sharply too and now they’re dead. I laughed at those back then too. Samsung sold ~10M foldable phones in the same time Apple sold ~240M iPhones. It might be a success to Samsung but it’s a drop in the bucket overall.

Comparing Samsung to Apple is laughable. Samsung is clueless when it comes to product design. Their strategy can be best described as “throwing shit at the wall and see what sticks”. Latest attempt: foldable phones. Foldable phones will ne

I made another comment agreeing that this simulation is overly simplistic in multiple ways. It‘s basically a simulation of US and Russian nukes with European soil as the first strike. There’s no way other nuclear powers would sit idly by.

I laughed. But if you’re going for maximum economic damage, a capital whose economic value is largely in tax avoidance wouldn’t be that high up on the list since in a post-apocalyptic world, taxes will be the least of everyone’s worries.
