I recently switched from being an iphone user to a pixel 2, and I can say that the difference between siri and the google assistant is signifiant. Enough so that I rarely used siri and I use the google assistant every day. It isn't tha

For what it is worth to others thinking of doing the same thing, I too took Equifax to small claims court in Santa Barbara. They sent a lawyer from their legal team to the initial hearing. I presented a lot of the similar arguments that wer

Glad you figured it out! Having that much work on a single branch is a process smell in itself, ideally you would have found a way to get that code into the repo before it became that large (break down the work into smaller chunks, hide beh

Came here to ask the same question. Been a while since I used the gem, but I remember it being very useful, and fairly extensible. Sounds like @akanet did not have the same experience. Would love to hear from others if they have run into th

You would have to dive into how the library was implemented and see if it is compatible as a node module. There is an issue right here in the repo you can follow: https://github.com/frappe/charts/issues/6

I use Kerl on OSX and have had zero issues with it switching between different Erlang versions. I haven't evaluated other options, but can confirm Kerl works on a mac.

Agreed. I had a project recently and was looking for something like this. There are "API first CMS" systems like Contentful and Prismic that could allow this, but they are paid services. A cool open source version that has plugins

For me as a consumer, the format is very much correlated with price. I am always willing to spend more money for a physical copy of a book than the digital version. For them as publishers, it also costs less to come to market with a digital

Is it just me, or does $49 seem high for a digital copy? I went to buy it expecting it be somewhere around $20, and then had a bit of sticker shock when I was in the checkout path. I know it took a lot of time and effort and on the author&#

I have a friend who worked at Zenefits and told me about the offer. Everyone in the company was offered two months salary and paid COBRA health benefits for four months if they wanted to leave. According to him more than 10% left.

This is great! Feature request: When a component pane(code snippet + preview) is open, allow escape key to close the pane. Is this code open source? Would be happy to submit a PR for this feature if it is.

I have never used Firebase, but I think they handle the data store and all the ways to access it's data (auth, sockets, etc.). So if you needed some kind of backend logic or task to happen, you would wire a separate backend app that au

I agree. I think dressing up as Thor and playing up the crowd the way you suggested would have gone a long way. Also putting the fingerprint scanner where you one actually grabs the handle from, somewhere midway on the shaft, would have bee

My guess is the performance benchmarks would be much different if you are dealing with an app with a high number of nodes where the diff/repainting benefits of React really kick in.

Vue is a framework that caught my eye a while back, and it's approach seemed like a nice compromise between backbone and angular. I haven't seen much published about it though, does anyone have experience working on a decent sized

Thank you! I searched google groups but was unable to find something like this. I did try and code up a simple prototype and ran into the same scope issues as the author of the linked thread.

Wordpress is less than ideal for managing via git, primarily due to their plugin architecture. The best way I have managed to use git is to put the repo at the wp-content level and only watch the theme and plugin directories. Then anytime I

I noticed this too. Seems like the potential for a lot of angry customers, though if I remember correctly when it was spacebox it included stipe's fees in its pricing. Must have been too costly to attract customers.
