How do you handle streaming when all of the services refuse to stream 4K on any computer? I think Netflix does HD bit Hulu and HBO are like 720p. It's like watching a torrent from 2005.

Hey, I made a flowchart that illustrates the setup I use with a lot of detail: https://i.imgur.com/cGXeby3.jpg Hope it's useful!

I just remembered that voicemeter is windows-only, but on the chance that you are using windows You can see my voicemeter setup here: https://forum.vb-audio.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1201&p=4282&s... It looks inti

You can do just about anything with voicemeter banana and OBS. I was hesitant to install voicemeter since I've been burned by that kind of always-on low level virtual driver software before, but it is so stable and light that I forget

There was actually a recent video from PBS spacetime on YouTube that did back of the envelope math on just this subject. The result is that you would basically have to strip mine the top three meters of the entire surface to get enough carb

Is teaching how to play the intro to Hey Jude on an acoustic guitar exploiting someone else's work? It's not like he's uploading the white album to YouTube.

I worked remotely from Brazil, Thailand, and Belize from 2009-2017, so during that time I guess you could say I was traveling, but mostly just enjoying the local scenery. Lately my travel scratch has been itched, so for the last six months

> And none of them work reliably. That is absurd. Last year I built a PC with off the shelf components that I spent about 30 minutes picking out, and all I had to do was stick the windows installer into the USB port to get everything set

I take a year or so sabbatical every four to five years. It has destroyed my ability to build a retirement nest egg, but I still love programming after 20 years in the industry.

I would hazard a guess that this is more to do with the soundness of C# relative to TypeScript, which had to make many sacrifices to stay compatible with decade old JavaScript conventions.

Oh, I see. I do know that some fully remote startups do this. There was a blog post that made the front page here for a well known company outlining which countries their employees could live in and what the salary bands were. I can't

Sorry, I replied to one of your other comments but didn't mention it here: no, I used my mom's address. I had all of my mail sent there, mostly lived in monthly rentals, and renewed my tourist visa whenever it was up. When I did g

I lived on an island in Belize for five years while working remotely. I had a 4G dongle that gave me about 100/25 most of the time, good enough for Netflix and video calls. SSH into a server into the states was rough though.

I have worked for several small startups in Seattle and the bay area that didn't say anything about me being in Brazil, Thailand, and Belize. In each case I was earning around $120k/yr on salary.

Can you provide some examples of a better way to use redux? The react and redux toolchain is so flexible I'm always interested to see what ways other people come up with to use it.

This sounds like a bubble effect. None of my friends have ever expressed interest in trading their windows laptops in for a Mac. Some of them actively avoid Apple products with well reasoned justification.

I believe that's an issue of manufacturing efficiency vs. corporate efficiency. Toyota invented "lean manufacturing", but that doesn't mean that their biz dev, marketing department, etc isn't massively inefficient.
