IMO using Observables instead of Promises for most API-type HTTP calls causes more harm than good. i.e. if you pipe the observable into an async pipe in more than one place, it does more than one HTTP call. I find in Angular code having my

Apart from just not having encrypted data, the only way to achieve what you're suggesting is with a government backdoor into the encryption. Any backdoor - any! - will result in your data being exposed, sooner or later. Your Signal mes

Not saying it's exactly the same thing, as I don't think a video overlay was involved, but I know someone that got their PhD in this area in the 1970s and had a long career working for a U.S. military contractor doing this. The U.

This is spot on. (I'm a long time vegetarian, so I've thought a lot about this.) Hunting, fishing, and even specialty slaughterhouses will likely continue. The economics will cause mass meat production to go out of business, thoug

Another example of language support for XML is VB.NET. I loved this feature when I last used it (over 10 years ago), especially the LINQ syntax for generating tags. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/visual-ba

My biggest problem trying Wayland in Ubuntu 20.04 was not actually with graphics, that worked well for me with my Radeon card. My issue was with my Logitech T650 trackpad, since Wayland also handles pointer events and scrolling and such. I

This looks great! A few questions, that I normally would email to you, but figured they could be helpful to others here: 1. What are the capabilities for the presentations? Can you present video, screen share (code), etc? What about showing

It is frustrating that people in an area with 1Gbps down are able to sign up for Starlink while I'm still waiting. I would pay $500/mo for Starlink right now. Currently paying $45/mo for "20Mbps/2Mbps" VDSL, $7

There are plenty of good substitutes for chicken that are rich in protein, some even complete proteins. Flavor them however you like. Tofu, tempeh, seitan, chickpeas, portabella mushroom, quinoa, lentils, just to name a few. And then there&

Shortly after I got my general license, I set up a ZS6BKW antenna up in some trees in my yard, made from wire from Home Depot and some ladder line from my local ham store. One of my first contacts on WSPR was a research station in Antarctic

I love FT8/FT4. It's a safe place for introverts and those turned off by the vitriol on phone to experiment with propagation and get awards. But I want phone to be a safe place, too.
