In the US you are not required to register your trademark in order to enforce it. However, you do get some additional protections. The cost is $225 and it is good for 10 years

The reason for "largely" is that in come sases, non-competes are enforceable. For example, if you buy a company, you can enforce a reasonable non-compete clause for the prior owners.

The ACLU was always a staunch defender of free-speech rights, but that is no longer the case. They now only defend the free speech rights of people on the left side of the political spectrum. For example, they will not defend religious spee

The ACLU has lost a great deal of moral clarity once they began taking on political positions. They no longer have the clout they once had, in the eyes of many.

Please correct me, but I don't think this applies if the suspect is un-involved in the decryption process. I think this was meant to prevent a suspect from being forced to give up their passwords.

I assume the same way they enforce it now. Get a judgement against someone and seize their assets (bank account)

Glad to see, but worry that Cpanel on Ubuntu coming in late 2021, corresponding to the end of CentOS 8, is cutting it close.

If you're using Cpanel, you have no choice but to use Redhat, CentOS or Fedora.

I've never had to explain why we use GoDaddy as our domain registrar. I don't think Rocky Linux will be a problem.

Actually, no, they don't. Insurers make no valuation on the land, only on the improvements. There is no appraisal done when buying a homeowners or business insurance policy

This is a land value tax, not a tax on the improvements. If you have a lot worth $50,000 and a house worth $250,000, and place a value of $50,000 on it for tax purposes, do you propose people can buy your house for $50,000?

Unless it was 100% invested in Enron or Lehman Brothers, nobody using a competent financial firm "lost their entire 401K". The markets only took 4 years to completely recover to the 2008 top levels.

If word of mouth is important, it is usually better to have a dot-com web address. IMO, the two additional rules are to make it memorable and make sure people can easily spell it. Other than that, don't obsess over a descriptive name.
