In my opinion, Google doesn't care abut the tiny tracking images. It does care about 2M jpegs. So, while email marketers might be up in arms, this won't affect them at all it appears. If anything, they should be thanking Google fo

This made me chuckle: "haves" versus the "have nots". How about we change that to: "made smart decisions, studied hard, work hard" versus the "made bad decisions, jealous of others"

This article discusses suburban Atlanta so it might be worth noting that much of Atlanta is quite hilly. It would be quite difficult to build neighborhoods on a grid system. By using cul-de-sacs and other winding streets, you can better fit

Are peanuts really nuts in this context? The article mentions them, but my understanding is that they are legumes, not nuts.

I wonder if this is any different than Money magazine ranking mutual funds? Nobody smart would ever use that ranking to pick a fund. "Revert to the norm" anyone?

How do you know what color other people on an open source project are? Is this a feature of GIT that I am not familiar with?

After 3 years, it seems the base iPad should have moved from 16GB to 32GB to 64GB. Why didn't this happen?

No. You're missing the point. FB and TWTR have already made it. If you could, short the vast pool of VC-backed pointless startups in the space that have not IPO'd yet and you would make a fortune.

Look at Swiftkey my friend and you'll never want to use an iPhone keyboard again. But you'll have to since Apple does not allow alternative keyboards. Comparing stock Android to stock iPhone is missing the point.

Until Apple makes a 5inch iPhone, they are simply too small for a large chunk of the population.

Just bought a Nexus 5 and switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. (1) I now find the pricing tactics of Verizon, where I had been a happy customer for years, to be brutally anti-consumer. (2) The Nexus 5 was $350. An iPhone 5S $650. These are qu

In the US, a huge difference between a treaty and a normal law is that only the Senate is involved in ratifying a treaty. The House does not get a vote.

The first one to come to mind was the Kyoto Protocol. Clinton signed it. I don't think the Congress even voted on it. A funny result of that is despite all the negativity, the US actually met the requirements anyway: http://

Rule 5 is "there's no such thing as 10X engineers". Then to back it up, some faux data about Marketers is given? This was weak, IMO. The reality is that there are 10x engineers. They likely won't come work for you though

Is there a single example of arrogance in this entire article? My guess is the headline write/editor was having a bad day. I don't think that was the intent of the writer.

This is so wrong it is ridiculous. Take this example. In 1959 it took one month of an average income to buy a Sears washer dryer. In 2012, it took less than 4 days average income to buy a far, far better washer dryer. http://www.

Hopelessly naive. An air conditioning system is used to cool spaces yes. But where I live, it is just as important to lower the humidity. This device will not help with that.

This approach "Hostnames should describe the purpose, capabilities, and disposition of your assets" requires you to rename your servers when you repurpose them. And that's an equally bad idea.
