(Not read the article yet, just answering to the question for myself.) I sometimes use stackexchange network (more precisely: tex.stackexchange.com) to provide many, many answers and I have spent hours over hours there, mainly to procrastin

I distribute a binary that can be extended via Javascript/Lua/... API by a customer. This is great. I don't want the customer to mess with the Go source but I give him the chance to mess with the program by a well defined API

Yes, you can do that. But that's evil and ugly (mixing uppercase and lowercase letters that way). I know it has do be done sometimes. And I am glad that U+1E9E (LATIN CAPITAL LETTER SHARP S) is not official part of German orthography.

Does weiss == weiß ? Yes and no. The swiss would write the former, other German speaking (writing) countries would write the latter. It is incorrect in Germany (after ie, au, eu, ... you must not write ss, unless it's a name, such as t

I actually like 'Hello world' examples, as long as they are very short. That way I have a basic program in an unknown language and can continue from there. Finding out how to make a very simple sample program myself was frustratin

`git gc` packs files with delta compression. I have a rather big git repository (daily mirroring a 25 gig repository with some large dvd iso images). And it seems to work quite well.

Checking for @ (and some other basic stuff) would be ok. I don't want to confuse users with more checkboxes/displays than necessary. Interesting experiment? Yes probably, but I would need more data than I have now to get meaningfu
