It depends on the stakes mainly, but also the experience of the stakeholders of a project. Both extremes (heavily tested, proven code vs "let's hope this works" code) are common but usually you're not allowed to speak

I agree, there is a loud minority who religiously criticize Electron while most desktop apps get written in it. The same was also true for Java applets. Electron made many trade-offs indeed but writing "this is electron based so I'

Maybe the trick is being pragmatic all the way down and having a TS-like language (with Pythonic syntax) that's compiled to Python.

I'm not the person you are replying to but I have strong feeling that it's the latter. The scroll event has, IMHO, outside the annoying infinite scroll circus and the hijacks, a single good use: Lazy loading of expensive resources

This is getting very nitpicky here but "DB" usually means Deutsche Bahn. I'm not German (working in Germany though) so I could be wrong. edit: Google agrees - https://www.google.de/search?q=db , although db.c

What if 90% of the links shared on the internet are from those 3%? It would be a huge link-rot. I really hope the internet archive has the most linked ones.

If your controllers are asp.net mvc controllers you can decorate them with permission attributes (see the relevant docs for your version). Pretty sure most frameworks have a way to structure your code for permission checking.
