That maze has 3 solutions though. If there is only one solution, without reversing, it has to be 2 pieces.

Humans in average spend 50% of their total time doing evil or planning on doing it. 40% is spent trying to come up with a definition of evil and protect "innocent" others from learning about how evil everyone is acting. 10% is spe

I'm a big fan of TS, but discriminated unions are available in a lot of languages and when not, there's usually some library adding it like boost::variant if the language has runtime types or templating/macros.

You can use discriminated unions with TS ( https://antman-does-software.com/typescripts-discriminated-u... ), and you can even parse them from unknown data using tools like zod ( https://zod.dev/?id=discriminat

The problem is, I have to trust my capability (and the others who actually read the source) to understand that the client doesn't trust the server, as long as I don't deploy the server too myself. Not to mention having to do the s

Described in programming terms: You try to type the weird dynamic object you have to deal with in Typescript but after spending too much time, you learn to relax about types and just write it in JS and it feels like it's working most o

For another take: I try to write a single module.css file per component in which I do zero nesting, avoiding any preprocessors (other than postcss modules, obviously). Nesting, IMHO, makes CSS a bit easier to write but much harder to read.

People want freedom (as seen by the down-votes comment above seems to have gathered) and I do remember the old times when I was very excited for the creativity SASS allowed me. Then in-between then and now, I did a lot of consulting work, a

Yeah the third parameter would by chance save the situation here but it's not a rule that you'd always be protected. Also it would be perfectly fine to cast parseInt to (String, Integer, _) in a sufficiently smart type system.

From all of the quirks JS has, I think ["10", "10", "10"].map(parseInt) is the sanest. Taken in isolation, the parameters of both Array.prototype.map and parseInt makes sense, and a typed language wouldn't
