Well, there were plans for big hollow concrete spheres at the ground of off-shore wind power plants. And Belgium thought about an artifical island with a lowered water level lake inside.

IF solar falls another order of magnitude, it will be far cheaper (which only has the conversion efficiency problem) to go for power-to-gas technology that has the additional advantage of being able to use gas (not gasoline) powered cars wi

The wikipedia article you link tells the exact opposite story, with more than 30 (did not count) experiments that followed until 2009.

Well, only if you are pedantic with fossil meaning long dead organic (which is true, of course). But for energy it makes more sense to distinguish between sources that can be used or they are gone (sun shines on the planet and at some point

That is true, but wind and solar do not change because we do use them, they will occur anew. Nuclear material does not reappear (within our system on earth). So the entropy increases for wind and solar anyways, while much slower for uranium

Solar energy is a very long-term goal if you include a dyson sphere in your calculation. And even less long-term, it is not that bad for space travel as you have more and especially 24h coverage without an atmosphere and a planet to block t

You can stand to it as you wish but by which means is nuclear power a renewable? (See France with 91%+ renewable with mostly nuclear power) Edit: Or non-fossil, if that is a difference

You would always wear a full body suit. There are only two places in the solar system where the human body can survive for short time without any gear: Earth, ... and the upper parts of Venus atmosphere (lacking oxygen though)

yeah, but it scales cubical. If you build your station 8 times as big and only need 2 times the material. So million people colonies become cheaper per person wise. Plus you might be able to grow algea in there.

As I know it, you have 2-3 persons that count together one urn. That's not one person doing it. And you can do recounts. And adding large numbers of ballot papers is not easy because its marked how many there are in a ballot. (What is

I am not sure how you vote but in my country, you could not pre-fill the ballot because you only get it at the voting booth. You have a voting registration that you bring to the booth, there you exchange it for the ballot which you fill out

Yes but that is not the point. You can also add votes to electronic voting by just allowing someone to cast more votes at it. But the difference is that with paper voting, you as a single actor can only influence one voting booth, while as
