If faced with a linter error, I don't typically delete the marked stuff, write it anew and hope fingers crossed that the error would be gone. I would try to make sense of the message, how it applies, and what the error is. At some poin

"An analysis in the Harvard Business Review found generic, superficial, simplistic thinking in bullet lists widely used in business planning and corporate strategy" I don't think this is related to bullet lists. The sentence

Agreed, interpreted/compiled shouldn't necessarily be seen as part of a language definition. However, I see two counter arguments. When using preprocessor macros in C/C++, these only make sense with a compilation step. But th

Don't know about libsigsegv. configure mumbles something about needing libsigsegv-2.10, but I've got 2.10-2 installed all right. To be fair, configure also suggests a very special installation procedure, which I haven't tried

I really enjoyed your argument. But why did you weaken it by reintroducing systematic cause: >> if everyone in your family lives a really long time, there's a good chance you'll live a really long time too This implies assum

That's absolutely not what parent was arguing, though. Also, that "line of thinking" not necessarily leads there. Accepting the technology is but one step. But we still need to raise moral and ethic questions about it. All pa

The excerpt talks about widespread beliefs about how parallelizing everything is supposed to be good. OP's title suggests parallel computing in general. How's that not out of context?

Actual quotes, but out of context. Make the title "Linus: Parallelize everything is a huge waste of everybody's time", and that's what he's actually talking about.
