CRISPR and drugs both have the same problem though, they lead to physical damage IF they go wrong (which they always do for some). I had a medical need for adrenaline blockers it gave me terrible nightmares for weeks, changing meds did not

Projects of any note are notoriously hard to test for yourself since they often use build systems. Golang is nice in this respect, pretty easy and fast.

The options in python to speed up your code are vast without really having to do much, on a fundamental level. My outdated experience with Nimrod told me that it was a tad too opinionated E.g. Everything is a string in dbs is mentioned in t

If you sign with a 2FA I can not see how a compromised computer can make that insecure. Though I will say, the UX on 2FA signing needs to get better, but it is secure enough.

Even as a young teen in the eighties I never understood that part of maps, they are so shallow and prone to bias. Even just creating a map with only on the ground facts is always biased, there is always bad editorialization. I never used E

Chernobyl was not just 200 people and if you think that it will be impossible for you to understand the issue. The fallout from Chernobyl made it into the food and nature all over the northern hemisphere, that leaves scars.

It does not get a free pass, coal pollution is one of the biggest issue of the environmental movement. As I said, I like nuclear so I think Germany and Japan are crazy to shut down their nuclear plants, but I can not blame them because I am

You have to define what you mean by safe. It's not good for nuclear proponents that Fukushima and Chernobyl happened, after spending decades telling everyone how some like this could "never" happen. I've read quite a lot

It is still perverse that we allow some few countries to stockpile 100 of thousands of Nagasakis. All of the world is held hostage to the whim of a hand full old men in the US, China and Russia.
