You need to attach the GPS and its PPS pin (Pulse per second) to the gpio on the rpi. Gives you microsecond NTP, pretty cool if you need that. It can be used to sync network, radios and audio over long distances.

Tap can be emitted by anything, when you start modules etc. The reason you have 1...3 at the start is to be able to check when tests fail to run, you can have multiple of these.

We just assume the guys who have that zone out and work on things, we ping them when they need to be active. Easier to do with cameras off.

That is the problem with XML, there is so much logic that is needed in the application so to be able to understand it. You just need so much knowledge.

If you believe it it is not virtue signaling, and if you balk at the price it is not virtue signaling. So not sure where that idea comes from.

According to zipline[1] it is still better than motorcycles at least. Considering we are talking about 100km, I would not consider a bicycle an option for such small packages. That said for me delivering a package by bicycle+ train + bycycl

I have been living under a rock the last ten years so I thought the EU still had the data retention directive. Between 2006-2014 all ISPs were required to logg traffic in the EU. I am so glad you are right! https://en.m.wikipedia

It is not that much better in Java land. Getting builds right takes lots of resources, keeping new and old things running is not trivial.

Hard to do with secure enclaves. You should protect your agent on your local machine to not allow requests willy nilly if the machine you ssh through is part of the threat model. You may need to rethink wether to use agent forward at all if

Sure there is, BSD is bad because xyz, GPL is bad because zyx. That said Llama restrictions are rather harsh and you are not allowed to improve other models with it. So no freedom there just some ok beer.

I only bike on paths as well, but that does make it considerably slower to get to places. Sharing with cars is usually safer/faster, given that you handle intersections and HGV ok.

Mandrake was very good at marketing, they did Linux alot if good. Note Proxmox is now €100 per year that is possible even on tight budgets. I wonder how good their support is, at €500 - €1000 per year for remote ssh help that can really be

Edit: I have heard this before but it is never specific, in what way is it easier? I never needed the big selling points of SVN, binary files (not good enough for me at the time), controll etc.

Semantic versioning still break clients (so what do you mean with multiple versions?). I would say that if you are handed a new version of a binary that spits out text, it is usually much easier to fix that than handling an API with objects

Can you perhaps give a better example when you need to say that origin is what matters for you? I seldom have these problems myself, but there is a nagging feeling that this is something I have thought about my self.

This is an area where it should be easier to build tools for that. I have tools for diffing k/v and structured formats but they are local on my machine. Being able to publish those to Gitlab, github and bitbucket would be great. Edit:

It has had effects on other projects; it would make more sense to build high speed in the Fehmarn Belt tunnel and you could be in Copenhagen and Sweden in two to three hours. Would be nice for us Swedes at least. My point is that everything

Sidenote I think it is refreshing that there seems to be so much collaboration between Lund in Sweden and Danish institutions like this. This is the third time a Danish paper on HN mentions Lund. I have no insight in why it is like that.

This is not good reasoning nothing good has ever come from making other peoples life miserable. I know lots of people wanted to do the same during the energy crisis in Europe. It is short sighted.
