There are people who put old VHS on Youtube that seems to be a pretty gruesome job. See Swedish achivist https://www.youtube.com/@RosaMannen Interesting that you can get Teletext from the VHS, and sad that it is now lost af

Notice the comment "In this codebase", and all the other the other caveats in the good code review. Consistency can be good.

I honestly think what IA did was vital for their survival. The IA can not exist without the media library. I see that many people here do not care about IA and their goal. I am not sure why that is. Maybe HN is filled with people in places

IA did not charge nor did they get revenue from their users in other ways. They did have a system to handle borrowing and make it cumbersome to read stuff. That is an important distinction.

It only takes a moment of weakness to fall for it, you need to spread information of these scams so people are prepared for it. Sex is shamefull for so many people that they will not talk about being scammed.

I wonder if there are still overcrowding at that station, or if it really was fixed in 2023. A bit of a Streisand effect going on here.

It was a dream for ME. I always think of that teacher when I do code reviews. The important part is how you manage to communicate things effectively. I had one friend who never managed to get better and complained, not loudly but it was cle

People react differently to task and teachers, there is no one way to do it. I got good grades because a teacher let us repeat a task like "write a report" seven-fourteen times. The feedback was given by him in class highlighting

Reading the docs, I consistently get blank page with an error after less than 30s: "Application error: a client-side exception" it feels strange that a text document needs to be an Application. I feel so old.

This has failed me because code get pretty gnarly fast, many things I thought was obvious was missed by people smarter than me. I think as long as it is a tool for discussions rather than grades it is good though.

I agreed I have gone so far as to replace strings in HTML with the date in the <time> tag, but it is not always available in that tag especially now with Javascript frameworks taking over. Further your wording makes it clear to me why

There are lots of government programs doing that, lots of companies trying to compete with Google has invested in OSM. The success really is that it has all gone into OpenStreetmap. OSM could do a better job acknowledging these partners, bu

Depends, we managed to OCR all pixels from a standard 128x64pixel OLED. Doing 20 kB/s as a debugging interface was marvelous. Someone smart used the mounting holes on the screen to mount a fixed Finder pattern (the squares in QR Codes)

"one more lane" a buss lane means more hard and hot surfaces in a city. As long as you just add hard surfaces you are still making things worse. With that said buss lanes are more important than car lanes.
