This is a really good idea that somehow I totally missed. I stopped playing at a level where this became important (as @elefantastisch noted above), but now I kind of want to pick it back up again. It's not guaranteed to work (differen

> What's the difference between France (lost quickly in WWII), Britain (barely evaded invasion), and the US (not invaded, economy grew during the war)? A lot of it is location, to be honest. Invading the U.S. was nowhere near as eas

It would be awesome if there was a way to gain information about your enemies. For example, sometimes (when facing a sludge), it's better to run away, heal, and come back to finish it off at full health. When facing an archer, it'

What? It's absolutely fair to criticize the NYT for manufacturing a narrative regardless of intention. That's just dishonesty. It's not reporting, it's creating a story, regardless of if you think what they're creat

The author mentioned that battery life is better than expected for a laptop running GNU/Linux: about 4 hours of normal use or 1:30 if painting. The trackpad is the biggest question though: it’s Apple’s trademark and no other manufactur

Off topic, but what is working for Buzzfeed like? I used to hate everything Buzzfeed-branded, but it seems like it's been improving journalistically recently. How are the working conditions? Do you believe in your purpose?

The only problem is learning to fly is prohibitively expensive for most people. Skydiving is a much cheaper activity.

I may be susceptible to nostalgia, but I still go back and replay them from time to time, especially Myst. The puzzles and story hold up very well, and the game was never about immersive graphics.

Those pictures are amazing. The United States has been having similar problems, just without the scale. See this article recently about the Dallas bikeshare program: http://money.cnn.com/2018/02/05/technology&

I work for a company that almost exclusively does mob programming. As in I'm in a mob 95% percent of the day, every day. What I miss most is "the zone." Pretty much every single line of code requires a verbal interaction with

Yeah, I believe the rationale was to know better where entrances and exits are to certain buildings. The idea is a good one, but many people were up in arms about tracking that wasn't expressly during the interaction with Uber the comp

The way TechCrunch presents this, it seems even shadier than Uber's "we'll track you for the 5 minutes after you get dropped off" tactic from last year. With no language addressing such tracking in the EULA, how is that

I'm a younger developer and I had never heard of Lions' Commentary. It sounds amazing and I'll order a copy, but is there a more updated version or a similar book out there that may be more relevant?

There's also Wave, but they're not available in all parts of the city, so certain people like myself are basically forced to give Comcast money. I'd be thrilled if we had more options.
