This was the bane of my existence when working in a larger corporate environment for 3 years. We used some SAP product that was written in 1995 using all of the best enterprise methodologies. It was slow, dumb, had obtuse validation rules a

I'm sorry you are having trouble finding work. I know what it is to have to support a family. It can be demotivating, but don't give up, and take a look at some of your algorithm books. Or cut to the chase: http://www.a

I love the way this article is written. Sometimes these types of articles go deep into personality and politics and you really get that anywhere you go. Here you get a peek into the nitty gritty while keeping it at a layman level. Plus, it

You are getting fairly consistent responses across your two posts regarding this domain name. You could follow the advice you've asked for and received or you could try again in a few weeks to see if public sentiment suddenly and unexp

Having almost drowned due to a leg cramp in a crowded pool with a lifeguard just about 4 feet away from me, I can tell you that drowning most definitely does not look like drowning. Especially, when it is a proud/embarrassed teenage wh

If you are a developer and good at what you do, you will layer your application to buffer against changes. If you aren't then just write the code the best you know how because building a business AND learning how to be a good coder at

There is virtually no dead end corner that the OP can paint him/herself into. They could pick literally any language or approach, platform or format, and create a successful business from it. The risks come from not being able to _easi

My gut reaction to the question was "The one I can understand and apply", but I think that the Huffman algorithm added a third feature for me, it expanded the way I thought about computing in general. It is relatively simple, but

This made me smile. I remember trying to learn coding at 6 or 7 from my Tandy 56K Basic manual. I didn't get it but I tried all the same. It would have been cool to have someone there to help me understand. It's a fortunate thing

I am a big fan of Nim. It's one of the few languages that gets me excited lately as it feels like you can do pretty much anything that you could do in C++ but in simplified code and shorter dev times.
