Realistically the GOP will have the complete control for only 2 years. Dems will sweep the midterms.

I think the issue is that people don't know what tariffs even are, call it a tax increase and it hits home more.

Trump isn't going to bring down prices though, so what's the point? Inflation wasn't tamed by your own definition under any Republican either.

I went to one dentist relatively recently, they were highly rated on Google, they said I needed eight, EIGHT fillings. I had them do two of them. Then they stated that I had to get so many I was going to go over my benefits and it would cos

There are a lot of vacant homes...largely in places where people don't want to live. We should allow people to build where people want to live via upzoning, etc.

WordPress isn't going anywhere, even if it's via a fork. It's too large and has so many contributors. It may lose some market share over this, but there's a massive, vested interest in at least keeping the spirit and gen

One of Matt's complaints was that WPE disabled revisions...which JetPack (owned by Automattic) suggests to do in order to improve performance. https://jetpack.com/blog/wordpress-revisions/ I ran servers for a

Matt has actually complained on the official WordPress Twitter account that the WPE CEO hasn't commented on it. It's really bizarre. Honestly, he doesn't sound well. There's no way he can be this reckless and be in his r

That's not even a true claim, because there are two separate plugins, one is WPE's and one is Automattic's. WPE doesn't force you to use theirs, it's a total lie.

I think this is one reason why it is rarely expanded, people associate the stops as a way for criminals to get around; but I think usage is not great largely because it hasn't expanded...it's a self-feeding cycle.

This is all good, but I think packaging Woo into core is not a good idea. WordPress is so large; I don't know how the plugin community will react to a fork. It is going to cause a lot of problems.

This is one of the sleaziest things I've ever seen. I fear a hard fork of WordPress is now inevitable and unfortunately, it's possibly going to kill the platform, all over one man's ego. How can I now sell my clients on using

If Wordpress cuts off all your security updates on a whim, and you suddenly have to support that code base...uh, that's a seismic problem.

One reason English is so popular (aside from pure economics) and that other countries quickly adopt English slang words is because we don't have such a thing.

Speaking of cab companies/Lyft/Uber, etc now similar to striking unions, those companies have a vested interest to block public transit expansion because it's a direct competitor. It's always been like this; we have to b

Unions have their place, but I would argue that any heavy concentration of power (this obviously also applies to corporations) is bad. There absolutely no reason an entity should exist that can on a whim shut down the entire east coast/

Can you explain your reasoning? Wordpress is pretty scalable, if done right. Even Microsoft uses Wordpress in some of its microsites. I know some of the new federal government sites even use it (for instance whitehouse.gov as part of the US
