One major thing this doesn't consider is the technical limitations which are latency & bandwidth. (1) You save a ton of money on bandwidth when you move data from AWS to AWS (2) Your stack, in most cases, needs to be near each oth

Is $10 the magic number for 'orgs'? Say the PE raised it to $20, how bad would that be? If it were $5 and doubled to $10 still as bad? Why is $10 the just amount? What about orgs that can't afford that? How high is it ok for

As with anything else this depends on context (code, assignment, goals, etc). One sentiment that I share with OP is that somehow, you do feel less pressure to over-dry than other languages. Probably because (1) more code doesn't necess

The average skill of most software teams is probably not far if not lower. I've been on very good ones and very bad ones -- lots of the code becomes least-common-denominator/weakest-link quality.

There are quite a few of these things (Dahl, Jsonnet, etc). and I've always thought it would be impossible to get a large enough team to learn them. At a pervious organization I worked I wrote a Kubernetes manager (docker build + kub

Why does everyone treat TypeScript like a full language? Besides some features like generics 98% of it is just javascript with type annotations (sorta similar, including in syntax, to py3 with annotations). And in that view its probably foo
