Seeing everything as a new startup or money maker is so unhealthy. There is a whole world to live in and explore and chasing money will never help you find it.

This seems neat but I don't understand the use of 4D. It's not four dimensional. It's 3D with the ability to have an arbitrary perspective.

You have a citation for your interpretation of "rent-a-cop"? I am intrigued but cannot find any use of the phrase other than something to the effect of "wannabe cop". Even the 1987 movie by that name is a former cop who

Did I miss where the article explains how ammonia can be used in a combustion engine? I read the whole article but it didn't seem to get into the techincals.

Sure at a value level, but it's still setting a precedence and making the way. I could see small time Mastadon operators getting more traction for charging a nominal fee for running an account. A lot of great ideas have come from compa

I tend to agree. Society was healthier prior to massive, wide-spectrum (my term) social networking.

I have my home/property loan through a coop (a FCS institution) and so I get dividends every year on my shares. It amounts to about 1.5x my monthly payment. Because of this I have F-income to declare and so most free offerings are off

I know people are down on the-social-networking-platform-formerly-known-as-twitter, and I have no skin in the game, I gave up on social networking about a decade ago, but I think this is the model to beat. Forever the FOSS world has said, &

This is how I feel. I will leave emacs from time to time to try this, that, or the other. But I come back and emacs is there awaiting. I recently learned to love the unadorned emacs (no eVIl mode), and I can't believe I spun my gears i

There is a world of difference between remembering the past and refusing to see people outside of a historic and antiquated context. OP is doing to these rural Mississippians what OP is accusing them of doing, and the article even mentions

Not perhaps always, but I've seen the term "LARPing" used in a more tongue-in-cheek and disparaging way. Might be part of it some times. "Did you hear what Jim has planned?" -"Oh he's just LARPing"
