The Galant series of IKEA desks are available in motorized form in Sweden, and I assume in Denmark too. They cost about $800. They don't seem to be available in the US though.

You can drag a playlist from iTunes and drop it on the "New Playlist" button in the left sidebar in Spotify. I don't know if it works with Genius lists, but it works with "Recently Played" and other dynamic lists.

You can add Spotify-users to your friends list too, you don't need to be Facebook friends. To add me, go to spotify:user:parbo or http://open.spotify.com/user/parbo and click the "Add Pär" button.

The ads are shown in an embedded browser (Safari on OSX), and they might use flash. The app itself does not use flash in any way.

I'm a Spotify dev. What sort of data would you find most useful to have extracted from iTunes? The reason we don't do the smart playlists is that we just take a snapshot (the lists aren't kept in sync) and the very nature of smart playlists

About 5): In Scandinavia, Spotify is the largest single source of revenue for labels. Three times the size of iTunes. If the artists don't get money, they should take it up with their labels.

At Spotify, we have hackdays every sprint where we can do what we want as long as it is in some way related to Spotify, e.g. new client features, exploring new server thingamajigs or writing libspotify bindings for other languages. Finished

My dad had a Compaq laptop and an Ericsson cellphone in -93, and I got my first cellphone in -96 (I was 22). I've had broadband internet (not dial-up) since -97. Scandinavia was quite ahead of the curve when it came to cellphone adoption an

Ctrl-d (not Cmd-d) in every textbox in OSX does exactly what Ctrl-d does in emacs. There is no difference.

Ctrl+d is the emacs bindning for delete, itworks just about everywhere on OSX. I do agree with the general slowness (beachballs galore).
