It's not outrageous, for sure, specially if you happen to have a use case for all the bundled apps. But things change if you consider that the one time payment for Logic Pro equals about 18 months of the subscription. In my case, I b

This! It’s of course a lock in, but a very important feature for governance, nonetheless.

Oh the reference to Rails made me ponder how long have we come after the initial Joyent Slingshot vision for desktop apps based on, yes you guessed, Ruby on Rails.

Yes, Zen is extremely good at that. Alas, as it is using Firefox Sync it doesn't sync your sidebar states (yet).

Obviously there is some training here and kudos to the lady, but no doubt her genetical baggage is giving her some advantage here. She's got older not because she's training, she's able to train and perform at this level

The key element here is switching windows across profiles. Safari almost gets this right but fails in the UI imho. Edge has "workspaces" that could almost work but they don't provide isolation.

Anybody else finds it very confusing that this is called Sound Wave and it's not a specific chip for sound synthesis applications?

Agreed. When you use a web framework you are somehow trusting the ability of the creators to ship something reusable and extensible. When you use something like this now you have two groups of creators to trust that they are not only good

From my experience with similar things built around Rails (ActiveAdmin and others) being based in a dynamic language helps and allows to accomodate a lot of customizations.

The key with RSS is curation, otherwise it stops being your "controlled feed". FOMO can make you add noisy feeds that basically are putting too much information that will dwarf the relevant feeds. In my case, I follow Hacker New

I've wondered quite a lot about this. Look, the last thing you want to hear while the procedure is being performed is the surgeon saying: "Please, stop moving your eye. Help me out here".

For my second operation the surgeon basically suggested using some drug ending in -pam (perhaps it was Valium) and they wouldn't provide it over the counter so I had to get a proper prescription, which somehow pissed the surgeon off.

You will risk it, eventually. Cataracts appear and get worse to the point of you becoming blind.

I had cataracts when I was 48 and my ophtalmologist told me that everybody gets cataracts but there are factors that make it appear sooner, like smoking (and yes, I am a smoker). But it's more or less unavoidable.
